Strawberry Plains is committed to providing opportunities for students and future environmental leaders to gain hands-on experience with a pioneering conservation organization. From field research and land management, to marketing and community outreach, our internships allow participants to gain experience and develop skills vital for career success. Participants will go through a matriculation and curriculum focused on Strawberry Plains’ regional conservation initiatives, including native plants and Bird-Friendly Communities and landscape-level habitat management of the local Coldwater River Watershed, leaving them with an understanding of our on-the-ground conservation and education outreach. 

As part of the National Audubon Society, Strawberry Plains shares the resources and expertise of a conservation organization with a 100-year legacy of success and an even stronger commitment to the future. Audubon’s WINGS internship program aims to inspire lifelong stewardship of our environment and communities, providing individuals the opportunity to develop skills needed for a successful career in conservation. Throughout internships at Strawberry Plains, interns will work closely with their managers and Human Resources to ensure a meaningful work experience.
