Wildlife Track & Sign, with John Defazio

July 21, 2018 - Holly Springs, MS

Mississippi is blessed with a tremendous abundance of diverse wildlife, yet many of our fascinating species are elusive and are often hidden from plain sight. Join us as Wildlife Biologist, John Defazio, unravels the world of track and sign, using clues left behind from our native mammals, reptiles, birds and other wildlife. We’ll start with an indoor presentation on observation and awareness, including where to look for signs of wildlife and how to decipher between different taxonomic groups. John will have samples of skulls, skins, tracks and scat to observe and analyze up close before we head out on the trails and to Sandy Creek to test our skills.

$10/person; $25/family
